A mum whose daughter has been missing for five days has begged her to come home. Emily Strimaityte, 13, was last seen on Parkdale Avenue in Orrell Park last Saturday, July 12, at around midday.

Merseyside Police released an initial appeal to the find Emily on Tuesday afternoon (July 15) but she has still not been found. In an emotional plea, her mum Ash told the ECHO she has urged her daughter to let her or the authorities know where she is. The 33 year-old mum from Prescot says her daughter is “not in any trouble” and she just wants to know if she is safe and well.

Over the past few days. Ash has been going to branches of Tesco, Sainsbury’s and McDonald’s as well as bus stops across Merseyside in the hope someone will know where her daughter is. In an updated statement issued this afternoon, Merseyside Police said the force is “increasingly concerned” about Emily.

Speaking to the ECHO this morning, Ash said: “I message her every day and say, ‘you are not in trouble, come back home, I am not angry’. We’re searching, we’re asking the people she was hanging around with. I’ve told everybody I’ve seen I’m looking for her.

“I went all the way to town yesterday. I put up posters in every bus stop, in the shops, on the windows. I was in Tesco and spoke with the Tesco security, they said they will share the appeal. I was in McDonald’s and in Sainsbury’s.

“I can’t remember all the places where I went, but I will keep going and ask people to open their eyes and keep looking for her.”

Ash continued: “She’s good, she’s helpful and very smart. She’s very funny. She’s a really nice girl and she’s out there somewhere. Nobody knows where she is.”

Ash added Emily also went missing on July 6 after the pair had an argument but she let herself be known to the police soon after. Ash believes she may be staying with people she knows but is not certain. She hopes the police can access her iCloud and other online accounts to see where she is.

Ash said: “Emily, you’re not in trouble. Come back home and we can work it out.”

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We are continuing to appeal to find a 13-year-old girl who is missing from Bootle. Emile Strimaityte was last seen on Parkdale Avenue in Liverpool on Saturday 12 July, and we are increasingly concerned.

“She is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, slim build with brown hair. When last seen, Emile was wearing a black denim jacket, burgundy crop top and black denim shorts. She is known to frequent Prescot, Huyton and Liverpool city centre.”If you see Emile, please call 999 so we can make sure she’s safe.
