Leeds United have had a steady but solid start to the transfer window, with rumours set to rumble on in the coming weeks.

The Whites look to have already sorted out their defence so far this summer, and will now look to sign a goalkeeper, midfielder, and striker.

The West Yorkshire club are making a good go of it this summer as they bid to stay up in the top flight next season, with Sean Longstaff next through the door.

With that in mind, MOT Leeds News rounds up all the latest transfer news coming out of Elland Road.

Having already added significantly to their back line, Farke’s side are looking to add attacking reinforcements.

Sources have now told LeedsUnited.News (17 July) that the Peacocks are making progress to sign Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Having already had a bid rejected for the forward, the Whites aren’t giving up on landing the Brazilian.

Leeds have previously walked away from negotiations when pushed to offer over the asking price, and it remains to be seen whether they will continue to push for Muniz, with Fulham wanting a club-record offer.

Leeds United to be without Bijol for Everton clash

Paul Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News that Jaka Bijol would have to fight for his place.

The defender will already be on the back foot in the fight for a starting place at centre back, with Bijol serving his suspension in their first top-flight game against Everton.

The defender picked up a red card in his farewell game for Udinese, which will carry over into the new Premier League campaign.

“The fact that it is two yellow cards closes off any ability for Leeds United to appeal,” said former referee Keith Hackett, speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News.

“FIFA, the governing body, are considering putting a proposal to the IFAB that second yellow cards can be reviewed by VAR.

“The difficulty I foresee is what if the first yellow is the controversial incident and incorrect?

“That is the gap that I see in the proposal.”

Leeds are again set to go head-to-head for another signing this summer, having previously battled Sunderland for the signings of Noah Sadiki and Habib Diarra.

Those battles they lost, but Farke’s side have the advantage as he looks to bring Paixão to the Premier League.

It has been reported by French outlet Foot 01 (July 17) that Marseille are in “tears” over Paixão, as Leeds have the edge.

Feyenoord want a fee in the region of £25million for the winger, but French side Marseille are unwilling to pay the fee.

The West Yorkshire side could be willing to pay up for the Brazilian, with the Whites now looking to formalise their interest after approving the move.

Paixao could leave Solomon deal dead and buried

With Farke looking at bringing in the winger, it could mean that the Whites are now ready to move on from a deal for Manor Solomon.

Solomon was influential for Leeds last season, but a permanent return to Elland Road has been left in doubt after Thomas Frank was appointed as Tottenham manager.

Leeds will have no doubt held talks already for their former loanee, but with the Peacocks already moving on, it looks to be an indication that a return for the Israeli international isn’t on the cards.
