A MAN accused of displaying a poster supporting Palestine Action has been charged under the Terrorism Act.

The 38-year-old suspect was arrested in the south side of Glasgow yesterday.

It is understood that the alleged poster was displayed in the window of a property in the city’s Shawlands area.

Police have charged the man under the Terrorism Act 2000.

He is expected to appear in court at a later date and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Palestine Action has been proscribed as a terrorist group by the UK Government.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, 16 July, 2025, a 38-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with an offence under the Terrorism Act 2000 for displaying a poster expressing support for a proscribed organisation at a property in the Shawlands area of Glasgow.

“He is due to appear in court at a later date. 

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.” 

On Tuesday, three women were arrested under the Terrorism Act after a van crashed into a security fence at a defence firm in Edinburgh.

In May, Irish rap crew Kneecap were axed from the TRNSMT festival lineup after one of its members was charged over an alleged terror offence.

Palestine Action was banned earlier this month after a vote in the House of Commons.
