A man has died following a medical emergency in Solihull.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent multiple resources to Bradford Road in Castle Bromwich, just before 7.15pm on Wednesday, July 16.

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was also scrambled to the scene.

The patient, said to have been a restaurant worker, was in a critical condition and medical staff gave advanced life support.

But nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a medical emergency on Bradford Road in Castle Bromwich in Solihull at 7.14pm last night.

“Two ambulances and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.

“On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support.

“Sadly, despite best efforts from crews, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
