As Oasis continue on through their major reunion tour, the band has taken to social media to share some intimate snaps from their most recent Manchester performance.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, from Burnage, have transformed the city of Manchester into absolute Oasismania these past few weeks as the band finally returned to its hometown.

Since announcing their huge reunion tour back in August last year, Manchester has spent the past twelve months gearing up to welcome the Burnage brothers back on home turf.

Gallagher lookalike competitions have swept the city, Oasis-themed bars have been hosting events and competitions, and for all of the dates the band has performed here, the city has been transformed into a sea of bucket hats and Oasis merch.

The band are currently more than halfway through their Manchester run of dates at Heaton Park, Prestwich, with two more gigs on July 19 and 20, Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Liam and Noel last performed together in 2009, and a little before their notorious split, they had a gig at Heaton Park. This has made their massive homecoming even more special.

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour kicked off in Cardiff on July 4 and 5, reaching Manchester last week. Some 80,000 fans attended the homecoming gigs at Heaton Park on July 11 and 12, with a reduced capacity of 50,000 attending the gig on Wednesday July 16.

Oasis has taken to social media on Thursday to share some snaps of the band performing in Manchester on Wednesday. One photo in particular has grabbed the attention of fans, and has racked up a whole lot of love in the comments.

The aforementioned picture is of Liam and Noel in an intimate embrace, something that Oasis fans never thought they would see happen. The band captioned the post on Instagram: “NOBODY’S GOT FANS LIKE THIS. NO ONE. Manchester 16.07.25.”

One fan was particularly moved by the picture of Liam and Noel hugging as they commented: “No. 3 just healed entire generations.”

Other Instagram comments include: “Thank you for giving us the best reunion we could ever wish for. It’s been perfect. Proper job.”, and: “And no one’s like you. The rest are just bands. You are legacy.”

Another fan, who travelled a staggering 4,500 miles to attend the gig, wrote: “I was there. Only travelled 4,500 miles from New Orleans. Worth every penny and every mile. Best band in the world. See you in New York!!!”

An account named Oasisworld commented: “Dreams come true”, and another fan said: “still processing that what happened yesterday was real”.
