Rollmeās Hero X smartwatch debuts at $99.99, equipped with IP67 durability, 4G SIM support, a 2.06″ AMOLED display, retractable camera, and a quick-access flashlight toggle.
We have covered some products from Rollme before, including the R11 smart ring and the GT3 smartwatch. Now, the lesser-known company is making another push for mainstream attention with the launch of its first rugged 4G Android smartwatch for 2025: the Hero X.
The Rollme Hero X departs from the typical rounded-edge smartwatch design. It features a sharply angular case and a reinforced structure, which should be great for those likely to drop, bash, or otherwise stress their device. The chassis comes with Panda Glass (a type of alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass, similar to Gorilla Glass) for screen protection and boasts an IP67 waterproof rating, which should be decent for withstanding splashes or a rainy run.
The smartwatch is equipped for standalone 4G calling and supports global bands. Users can insert a SIM card directly into the side slot. The device also covers the expected wireless spectrum with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options.
Key features
- Display: 2.06-inch AMOLED, readable outdoors, protected by Panda Glass
- Camera: 5MP retractable and rotatable
- Memory: 3GB RAM, 32GB storage
- Navigation: Built-in 3D navigation system (GPS support)
- Battery: 1,200mAh, up to 2-3 days (4G mode), up to 10 days standby (Bluetooth)
- Health Suite: Heart rate, SpO2, sleep analysis, breathing exercises
- Weight & Strap: Hefty, practical build; blue velvet rubber strap included
A few physical controls, like an LED flashlight quick-toggle and a main menu shortcut, are present for the sake of tactile convenience.
The Hero X is entering the market at $99.99. Available in Matte Black, Frost Silver, and Radiant Gold, the watch should be good for travelers and those who spend a lot of time outdoors, rather than the fitness-obsessed demographic.
