Bristol Rovers are halfway through their pre-season schedule after playing three out of their six arranged friendlies ahead of the upcoming League Two campaign.

The Gas recorded 2-1 and 1-0 victories against National League South opponents in Chippenham Town and Bath City respectively, either side of a 3-2 defeat against League One Stockport County out in Spain.

Bar the inclusion of a couple of academy players in the squad for the Chippenham game, the players involved have all been part of the first-team while all seven new signings to date have had run outs too.

Some players have been more high-risk of injury than others or have needed minutes managed after respective issues but fitness is clearly starting to build up with a handful of players now completing one 90 minute spell.

In terms of the players who have registered the most game time so far, Connor Taylor, Alfie Kilgour, Bryant Bilongo and Shaq Forde lead the ranks having completed two separate halves against Chippenham and Stockport and then the full 90 minutes against Bath on Wednesday.

Taylor Moore, Kofi Shaw and Isaac Hutchinson have also completed 90 minutes, playing the full match against the Hatters out in Spain.

Promise Omochere and Ruel Sotiriou have had to have their minutes managed closely after missing the start of pre-season. However, the forwards have both completed 135 minutes each after playing the first hour at Twerton Park earlier this week.

Meanwhile, new arrival Josh McEachran’s time on the pitch is having to be supervised even more tightly having last played a competitive match for Oxford United back in January. The midfielder played half an hour against Chippenham and Bath but sat out the Stockport match.

The minutes allocated on Wednesday evening will offer an indication of what the starting line up might look like tomorrow afternoon away at Yeovil Town, although assistant head coach Jon Stead did admit that the coaching staff are getting a clearer idea of what the first 11 of the season may look like in two weeks’ time against Harrogate Town.

Because the minutes are slightly disjointed because of added time as well as time taken for substitutions to be made, we have rounded down given that the clear pattern has been to either take players off at half-time or after an hour.

Here is a rundown of every player who has featured for Rovers in pre-season so far and how many minutes they have played midway through the schedule…
