Yorkshire Contemporary Play at Cross Flatts Park 

Join artist Zoe Spowage and Yorkshire Contemporary (formerly The Tetley) in Cross Flatts Park for Paint Maze. Join them to paint, build and play!

Bands In The Park

Organised by The Friends of Cross Flatts Park, enjoy live music on Sunday afternoons 2:30-4:30pm at the Watsonian Pavilion. On Sunday (20 July 2025) Amici perform singalong covers from the 1960s onwards.

Plus the 20th Annual Beeston Dog Show. There are Pedigree and Fun categories, but who will be Best in Show? There is a charge of £3 for each class you enter your dog in. Entries on the day from 1:30pm, judging starts at 2:30pm.

Then on Sunday 27 July The Salvation Army brass band plays the best of brass, both religious and secular.

Couch to 3K 

New adults Couch to 3K and Couch to 5K courses are starting on Tuesday 12 August 6pm. All abilities welcomed. The coach will guide you from walking to jogging over 9 weeks.

Mixed basketball sessions for 7 to 16 year olds at Cross Flatts Park multi use games areas Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-12pm from 5 August.

Saturdays 10-11am in the multi use games areas at Cross Flatts Park.

Equipment available to borrow – but it is allocated on a first come first serve basis, so make sure you turn up early to claim your equipment! No booking required, but we would love if you could register online beforehand.

parkruns

parkrun is a weekly, free, timed 5k walk, jog or run. Register online before your first event. Starts at 9am near the bowling greens. Junior parkrun is for children aged 4-14 years and takes place every Sunday morning at 9am. Full details below:

Cross Flatts Park is one of many greenspaces that has been mapped out for Xplorer activities. This is a child/family friendly park based orienteering activity.
