Garmin has teased a new smartwatch on social media in China. So far, the company has only revealed a few details about this new wearable through its Weibo account.

In the image attached to the Garmin post, the outline of the watch is shown. It is similar in appearance to the Forerunner 165. Like this older wearable, the upcoming model appears to have buttons with the following functions: Start/Stop, Back, Down, Up and Light. The picture also shows a runner, another indicate that this is a Forerunner wearable, possibly a follow up to the Forerunner 55 or the Forerunner 165. As such, it could be named the Forerunner 65 or the Forerunner 175,. 

The features of this new smartwatch have yet to be confirmed. As a reminder, the entry-level Forerunner 55 is a GPS running watch featuring an MIP display with heart rate monitoring, Daily Suggested Workouts and Garmin Coach. The Forerunner 165 has an AMOLED display with more advanced tools like Running Dynamics and VO2 Max.

According to the Weibo post, the model will retail for between CNY 1,000 (~$139) and CNY 1,999 (~$278), making it a relatively affordable model. For context, the Forerunner 165 retails for CNY 2,080 ($249.99 in the US). The price of this new Garmin smartwatch will be revealed in China on July 22nd at 12:00 (4:00 GMT). It is unclear whether the full specification of this wearable will also be revealed at this time. Plus, Garmin has yet to confirm when this watch could be released in other markets like the US, where it recently released the Forerunner 570 smartwatch (curr. $549.99 at Amazon).
