The richest roads to live on in Manchester have now been revealed along with their million-pound price tags. When you tend to think of the most expensive streets in the city region, they’re usually dominated by the south.
Affluent areas like Didsbury and Chorlton which boast large Victorian houses tend to appeal to wealthy families.
But as Manchester is everchanging, there are an influx of swanky residential skyscrapers across the city centre attracting young professionals and investors, which are now bumping average house prices up.
Therefore, Manchester’s most prestigious addresses are constantly being updated with new street names taking over more historic areas in the south.

Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since June 2020 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the Manchester postcodes.
Through gathering five years worth of sold house price data, it found that Belfield Road is the most expensive street to buy a home on in the region.
Belfield Road in Didsbury has four properties which have sold for an average price of £1,303,750 over the last five years.

Didsbury’s M20 postcode continues to top the charts, proving to be the main area of residence for Manchester’s millionaire buyers.
Elm Road in Didsbury comes in at second place, with four homes having sold for an average of £1,291,250 since June 2020, whilst Pine Road in Didsbury also saw three properties sell for an average of £1,195,000.
Owen Street on Deansgate, where Deansgate Square compromising 1,508 luxury apartments across four towers lies, also features on the list of the most expensive streets.

A total of 11 properties have sold on Owen Street with an average price tag of £1,081,388 over the last five years.
Bloomesbury Avenue, also in Didsbury (M20), also features in the top 10 with an average house price of £954,996 across 14 transactions – the most compared to any of the other streets that make up the list.

The findings are based on the latest Land Registry price paid data from June 2020 to June 2025.
It only includes streets that have more than three sales.
