Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected throughout Northern Ireland this weekend with a high of 23C forecast for Belfast.

For Saturday, July 19, the Met Office say it’s set to be a rather cloudy start in NI, then brightening up with some sunny intervals.

The forecaster added: “Scattered heavy showers then breaking out by the afternoon. Warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 22C.”

And for the outlook for Sunday, July 20, to Tuesday, July 22: “Sunny spells and scattered showers on Sunday, any showers possibly heavy and thundery.

“Cloudy with occasional rain on Monday, then sunshine and heavy showers Tuesday.”
