Sheffield United have been fairly quiet so far in the transfer market, but this looks set to change over the coming weeks as pre-season starts to ramp up.

Ruben Selles has shown a keenness to improve the squad so far this summer; however, Sheffield United have not done much business.

The club have adopted an AI-assisted approach, which has led to the Blades uncovering some hidden gems from the likes of Bulgaria.

With their current approach, it would make sense they would soon cross paths with Runar Norheim, who is currently shining for Tromso in Norway.

However, Ruben Selles may be hoping he can convince Sheffield United to bring in a few familiar faces from the clubs he previously managed.

Ruben Selles is looking to bring in ‘outstanding’ players from Hull City and Reading

Ruben Selles was appointed Sheffield United manager for the upcoming Championship season after he did miraculous work to extract the best out of his players at both Reading and Hull City.

As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Ruben Selles would be interested in a pair from both Reading and Hull City.

It is understood that he is interested in bringing in the ‘outstanding younger players’ of Andre Garcia and Charlie Savage to Bramall Lane.

While it is believed Steven Alzate and Charlie Hughes from Hull City would also be of interest to Selles at Sheffield United.

How the four could impact Sheffield United

There are huge expectations on Selles this season, as the club came so close to promotion last season, as they lost the play-off final to Sunderland.

Alzate had an important role under Selles at Hull, as he operated in the middle of the pitch, controlling possession and making things tick.

While Charlie Hughes came into his own at the back, being vital at the heart of the defence for Hull last season as Selles guided them away from relegation.

Andre Garcia had a fantastic first season in professional football last season, and Selles would have seen a lot of potential in him at just 17 years old, making the step up to battle for Reading.

Meanwhile, Charlie Savage has thrived in League One with Reading and has been an integral part of the first team since joining and may be ready for the step up to the Championship.

The four players would be expected to become important pieces of the first-team squad at Sheffield United, strengthening different areas of the pitch.
