Health Canada has issued a recall for a lot of Ozempic after discovering that some units may have cracked glass in the medication packaging, which could lead to contamination or injury if used.

The recall was first issued on June 24 and applies to lot RZFFE55 of a semaglutide solution (1.34 mg/mL), manufactured by Novo Nordisk Canada Inc. and distributed under DIN 02471469.

Risks: Cracked packaging may affect product safety or injection quality. Consumers are advised not to use the affected lot without consulting a healthcare provider.

What you should do: Individuals are advised to consult their healthcare professional if they have any health concerns. In addition, product users can contact Novo Nordisk with any questions and report any side effects to Health Canada.

As of July 24, there have been no reports of injuries or adverse reactions related to this issue.
