Stephen Cook, 63, who lives in Yate, released Saints and Sinners in May.

It is the second book in his Inspector Page series, following Angels In The Architecture, published in 2024.

Mr Cook said: “Once I had retired I was finally able to find the time needed to write novels; something I had always wanted to do.

“Angels In The Architecture was very well received and early reviews of Saints and Sinners have also been good.

“If you enjoy a good detective story then you should get to know DI Jim Page.”

Mr Cook grew up in Oldland Common, Bristol.

He was educated at Sir Bernard Lovell Comprehensive School and studied German at Warwick University.

He spent his career in social housing.

Both novels are available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats.

Mr Cook is hosting a meet the author event at Yate Library on Saturday, November 15.
