A WWE WrestleMania 41 match has been thrown into jeopardy due to a star reportedly dealing with an as-yet undisclosed injury.
On April 3, 2025, reports emerged on Twitter that there was “not great news” regarding an unnamed wrestler involved in a feud leading to WrestleMania 41 later that month.
A further post noted that a star was seemingly injured, with their WrestleMania match potentially being pulled.
PW Nexus has now confirmed that the star in question is Kevin Owens who was set to face Randy Orton on night one of WrestleMania 41.
Tweeting about the situation regarding Kevin Owens ahead of WrestleMania 41, it was noted:
“PWN has been told Kevin Owens is dealing with an undisclosed injury with no time table set for a return to action.
“This puts Owens’ WrestleMania match vs Randy Orton in jeopardy with 15 days remaining until the show of shows.”
A second tweet would reveal alternative plans for Randy Orton at the upcoming WWE PLE, stating:
“Alternative plans for Orton have been discussed, but no pivot has been made for Orton yet.”
At the time of writing, no official statement has been made about the plans for either Kevin Owens or Randy Orton.
The match order for both nights of WrestleMania 41 was recently revealed.
Kevin Owens last competed at WWE Elimination Chamber in an Unsanctioned match on March 1, 2025, defeating Sami Zayn.
