Born in Edmonton, north London, in April 1997, Walker-Peters joined local club Tottenham Hotspur as a schoolboy. In 2017, he won the FIFA U20 World Cup with England and made his Premier League debut for Spurs.

After appearing in the UEFA Champions League in 2018/19, Walker-Peters joined Southampton on loan in January 2020, then made the transfer permanent that summer, and went on to become a regular in the Saints’ starting line-up over the next five seasons.

Playing in either full-back position, or as a wing-back when required, Walker-Peters played over 200 times for Southampton, helping the club win promotion back to the Premier League via the EFL Championship Play-Offs in 2024.

His form at St Mary’s Stadium caught the attention of Gareth Southgate, who gave him his senior England debut in March 2022 in a friendly international victory over Switzerland at Wembley.

Previously, Walker-Peters had been a regular for England at age-group level, winning over 40 caps between U18s and U21s, and starting the Young Lions’ victory over Venezuela in the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup final.

Now, he will return to his home city and continue his career at London Stadium.

Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Kyle and his family to the Club and wish him every success for his career in Claret and Blue.
