Alejandro Garnacho has taken to social media following Manchester United’s opening pre-season friendly against Leeds United.

Ruben Amorim’s side played out a 0-0 draw with the newly-promoted side at the Strawberry Arena in, Sweden. While several players were involved, either starting or as a substitute, Garnacho wasn’t one of them.

The winger is one of the players expected to leave the club this summer. As he searches for a new club, Garnacho, along with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia have been training away from the main group.

They were not part of the travelling squad who made their way to Sweden and will not travel to the USA for the pre-season tour next week. Rashford looks to be closing in on a move to Barcelona.

Garnacho himself has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Napoli with both clubs linked with an interest in the player back in January.

Not long after full-time of the draw against Leeds, Garnacho shared an update on his Instagram story. He shared a picture of his dog in a park, along with a caption reading: “My big boy.”

He then shared a video of the same dog chasing a stick in the park while showing his two other dogs walking. The fact he was sharing what he was doing away from the pitch not long after the game may or may not have been an accident.

Garnacho caused a stir earlier in the summer when he posted a picture of himself wearing an Aston Villa shirt with ‘Rashford 9’ on the back. Villa have since been linked with an interest in the winger.

Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa Park, but the club didn’t take up an option to make the move permanent for a fee of £40 million this summer.
