West Midlands Police said they are aware of the scenes of disorder in Birmingham city centre on Friday (July 18).
A dispersal order was put in place and two arrests were made for robbery as officers cleared the area of anti-social behaviour.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We are aware of footage circulating on social media, and we are carrying out an investigation to identify who was involved. This includes working closely with our partners.
“This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and we will make sure those who think otherwise will be dealt with robustly.
“Anyone who can help with our investigation is asked to get in touch with us by calling 101 quoting log 3043 of July 18.”
