If you’re heading out with your pals for the long weekend, then Attic’s Big Beer Adventure might be right up your streetInside The Barrel Store in the Jewellery Quarter(Image: Nick Wilkinson/Birmingham live)
One of Birmingham’s leading breweries has created a 52-venue strong beer crawl of the city in time for the long weekend.
Attic Brew Co, which has a large brewery and taproom in Stirchley, has created the Big Beer Adventure to encourage drinkers to visit the city’s iconic independent venues.
The crawl takes in Attic’s own neighbourhood as well as must-visit boozers in the city centre, the Jewellery Quarter, Moseley, Kings Heath and further out to Alvechurch, Barnt Green, Bromsgrove and Shirley.

Of course, it’s not wise to get a pint from every single venue (employ common sense here, we are not responsible for hangovers ) but if you head to any of the participating venues (we’ve popped a full list below, with links, so you can find them) and pick up a trail guide, you can start collecting stamps.
To get a stamp, you just need to buy a pint (or half, or a can) of Attic beer and you’ll get a stamp. Collect six and you can redeem it for a special edition Attic x Indie Beer badge.
To redeem, you need to head to the Attic Taproom in Stirchley, The Barrel Store in the Jewellery Quarter, Cherry Reds in the city centre or Schooners on York Road in Kings Heath to collect.
There are only 500 badges and the Big Beer Adventure began on Monday, April 14 but it’s running until Sunday, April 20, so you’ve got time to catch up.
Attic said: “All venues will have guides available, so pop in and begin your adventure! If a venue has run out of guides, their participating neighbours may have some available.
“PLEASE check opening times via Google/the venue’s social media before you travel. Not all venues will be open every day.
“It’s one stamp per venue, so get your pals together and see how many you can hit.”
Attic’s followers on social media shared their excitement about the crawl. Jennidonts said: “All over this!”
