Man City’s outbound star Jack Grealish shared a message on social media as the search for a new team goes on.

The former Aston Villa man featured just 20 times in the Premier League last term for the Citizens, starting seven games.

Grealish has drifted out of contention for Pep Guardiola in recent seasons, and the arrival of Rayan Cherki at the Etihad seems to have spelt the end for the England international’s time in Manchester.

The 29-year-old was left out of City’s Club World Cup squad for the tournament in the USA, with the hopes that the winger would be able to find a new club.

However, going into pre-season, Grealish remains a member of Guardiola’s squad as Premier League teams seem to be prioritising cheaper and younger alternatives to the one-time most British transfer record holder.

During a prolonged stint away from the club, Grealish has taken the opportunity to take a break away from football and the English winger shared an image on holiday on his Instagram story.

Football Insider Verdict

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Pete O’Rourke revealed that clubs are waiting until later in the transfer window to make offers for Grealish.

Interested parties are expecting City to lower their asking price later in the window, with the dethroned Premier League champions keen to move the winger on.

However, the Sky Blues will be under little pressure to sell Grealish at a major discount as Guardiola’s side are in a strong position financially.

It would be no surprise to see the ex-Villa man move on loan this summer, especially after Marcus Rashford enjoyed a fruitful spell away from his side last season.

This has led to Barcelona agreeing a deal to bring the Man United outcast to the Camp Nou this summer.
