Opening bat Caleb Jewell has signed a deal to return to Derbyshire for the 2026 season.
The Australian has made an impressive start to life at the County Ground after initially committing for this season last September.
And the club have moved quickly to retain the 28 year-old Tasmanian’s services for 2026.
Jewell is Derbyshire’s second highest run scorer in County Championship Division Two with 821 at an average of 54.73, with three centuries, including a career-best 232 against Kent in May, and five 50s.
He was also an ever-present in the group stage of the T20 Blast, contributing 359 runs for the Falcons, a total exceeded by only Aneurin Donald and Wayne Madsen.
