Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo is reportedly a transfer target for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Without a doubt, Moises Caicedo has been one of outstanding players in the Chelsea squad this season. In fact, we’d be surprised if he doesn’t win the club’s Player of the Year at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

The defensive midfielder is the only Blues player to start every league match so far this season.

During a recent interview, Levi Colwill praised Chelsea teammate Caicedo because he makes it easier for the defence with his industrious work in the centre of the park.

When you consider just how good he’s been recently, perhaps it’s not a surprise that he’s receiving transfer interest.

According to The Telegraph, Al-Nassr have now put Chelsea star Caicedo on their transfer shortlist ahead of the summer.

It is explained that the 23-year-old Premier League ace is viewed as a ‘dream target’ for the Saudi Pro League club.

The report adds that Caicedo would cost ‘upwards of £100m’ to sign.

In fairness, his contract at Stamford Bridge doesn’t expire until 2031 after joining the Blues on an eight-year deal from Brighton a couple of years ago. The fact that Chelsea’s asking price for Caicedo is north of £100m makes sense when you recall he cost £115m to sign from Brighton.

Chelsea’s sporting directors tipped Caicedo for big things when he joined the club, and fans have seen during his second season with them him grow into a top-class player.

If Al-Nassr do decide to ramp up interest in Caicedo, they’ll be negotiating with Chelsea for the second time in the space of a year.

In September 2024, Chelsea sold Brazilian youngster Angelo Gabriel to Al-Nassr. So far, the 20-year-old winger has enjoyed an impressive debut year in Saudi Arabia.

Angelo is sharing a dressing room with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jhon Duran and Sadio Mane at Al-Nassr. While transfer speculation suggests he could be joined by Caicedo next season, we’re guessing it’s very unlikely the Chelsea midfielder will be on the move in 2025.
