Forty-five bars and restaurants in Glasgow have been announced for the first ever Glasgow Cocktail Festival next month, including venues like The Finnieston, The Spiritualist, The Lab, Fonn Mor and The Alchemist with early bird wristbands already sold out and more than 2000 attendees on board.
The 10-day event which runs from August 29-September 7 sees premium signature cocktails discounted to between £5 and £7 for wristband holders and also features cocktails from a wide range of Diageo brands also priced at £5-7 across the board.
Glasgow Cocktail Festival boss Alice Christison admits she has been blown away by the reaction and says it may even exceed her ambitions for year one.
Alice said, “We knew Glasgow would deliver – it’s such a vibrant city and always the go-to for the biggest days and nights out.
“But we really have been taken aback at the response, with over 2000 wristbands snapped up already and superb interest from the hospitality industry in general.
Alice adds, “You can hop from bar to bar or find your favourite and settle in – and enjoy the signature serves at the special member price, with a wide selection of cocktails across the many bars and restaurants on offer.
“This city is known as the leading city for nightlife in Scotland and the troops are definitely showing up for the first Glasgow Cocktail Festival.”
