Three men from Harrow have been charged as part of a police investigation into a series of burglaries across London, where victims were reportedly targeted through the dating app Grindr.
The Metropolitan Police said four men in total have been charged in connection with 35 burglaries and 20 related frauds, affecting 22 victims between October 2024 and March this year.
Rahmat Khan Mohammadi, 22, of Weald Lane in Harrow Weald, was arrested on 3 April and charged two days later with one count of theft, 17 counts of burglary and 12 fraud offences. He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 5 April and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday, 25 July.
Mohammed Bilal Hotak, 21, of Richmond Road in Hackney, was arrested on 24 April and charged the next day. He faces one count of theft, 14 counts of burglary and nine fraud offences. He also appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on 23 May and was remanded in custody ahead of the 25 July hearing.
Mozamel Rahman, 29, of Sefton Avenue in Harrow Weald, was arrested on 7 April and charged on 26 June with three counts of burglary and two fraud offences. He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 11 July and was granted bail. He is due to return to the same court on Friday, 8 August.
Ibrahim Yaqobie, 28, of Masons Avenue in Harrow, was arrested on 9 April and charged with the same offences as Rahman on 9 July. He has also been bailed to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 8 August.
A trial date for Mohammadi and Hotak has been set for Monday, 13 October at Isleworth Crown Court.
