With Microsoft’s PS5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle out now in early access, we’re starting to see footage of how the PlayStation version is performing – with the enhanced PS5 Pro being the most interesting edition over on the Sony platform. Thankfully, our friends at Push Square have showcased a little bit of PS5 Pro footage here, comparing it to the Xbox Series X version in the video up above.
While the Pro version has quite a few small enhancements, including a bump to overall resolution, the Xbox release still holds up well from a pure numbers point-of-view. However, the way in which PS5 Pro delivers its final image makes for quite a different look overall – the game appears much more saturated on Xbox, and subsequently more lifelike on the high-end Sony console.

To be honest, the end result really does come down to personal preference in a lot of ways; some may prefer the Xbox version’s more idealised, saturated look – while others might think the more naturally-lit PS5 Pro version delivers the best results. What’s less subjective is the res bump to full 4K on the Sony platform, although the Series X edition is no slouch at up to 1800p.
Anyway, we just thought this was a pretty interesting comparison to take a look at – and it’s going to become a regular thing that Sony has the most powerful console hardware for certain Xbox games. We’re curious to see how Forza Horizon 5 stacks up next, when it arrives on PS5 & PS5 Pro towards the end of April.
