Almost 2,000 people signed up for junior races, the original 12K route, and the new 40K distance.
Runners enjoyed the private grounds of the Merthyr Mawr estate, with its grassy fields, woodlands, and sandy dunes, including the Big Dipper, Wales’ highest sand dune.
The route passed through Merthyr Mawr village, across the Ewenny River, past Ogmore Castle, culminating in a final river crossing to the finish line.
The 40K distance included the stunning Glamorgan Heritage Coast and its breathtaking views.
Every participant received an FSC-approved wooden finisher’s medal.
Steve Brace, race director at Run 4 Wales, said: “It was a fantastic day for the 2025 Rabbit Run Wales which returned to the Merthyr Mawr estate with a new look and a new 40K distance.
“It was wonderful to see how much this beloved event has grown in recent years and we’re excited to see what the future holds as we continue to evolve and develop this event to offer something for everyone.”
Entries for the Rabbit Run Wales 2026, taking place on Saturday, July 18, are open.
A £5 early bird discount is available for the first 500 people to sign up for the 12K distance.
