With currently four locations across Greater Manchester, Nell’s Pizza has become a much-loved pizza spot in and around the city thanks to their huge New York-style slices and innovative toppings. Now, following on from opening a new Altrincham site last year, Nell’s Pizza is expanding further as it is set to open a new location in MediaCity.

Nell’s is the brainchild from the founders of The Beagle in Chorlton and Common in the Northern Quarter and has become famous for their massive 22 inch pizzas and 14 inch slices bigger than your head that don’t fall apart. The MediaCity spot marks the fifth Nell’s Pizza location, and third outside of Manchester city centre, with sites already in the Northern Quarter, Kampus, Chorlton and Altrincham.

Set to open at MediaCity’s quayside Orange Building in Salford this autumn, the New York pizza restaurant and bar will be the first Nell’s to feature private karaoke booths, shuffleboard tables, and a massive outdoor terrace. So not only can visitors enjoy the brand’s signature New York-style pizza, ice cream sandwiches and frozen margaritas, but also have a sing-a-long with mates or unleash their competitive side with a game of shuffleboard.

Jonny Heyes, Co-Founder of Nell’s, said: “We’ve been thinking about MediaCity for a long time, it’s such a great area and we’ve seen what brilliant operators like Kargo have achieved so when this space came up, we jumped on it! The venue is huge which has given us the chance to really play with the experience. This idea of karaoke and shuffleboard accompanying our made-for-sharing pizzas and great cocktails feels like a natural next step for us as a brand.”

Nell’s have also partnered with Deliveroo and Slerp – delivery platforms allowing them to send their massive pizzas far and wide, in the office or at home. The brand has also featured in ‘The Times 100 Best Places to Work’ list for two years running and the MediaCity location is expected to create more than 35 jobs ranging from kitchen positions, management and entry-level positions.
