Former Reds midfielder Nemanja Matic is included, after being an unused substitute in the first leg, as a 21-man squad is available for coach Paulo Fonseca to choose from.
During his press conference, the Lyon boss admitted that, although Fofana has made the flight, the winger is not fit enough to play the full 90 minutes.
“We’re playing here at Old Trafford against a great team that has the same ambitions as us,” he said. “It will be a decisive match for United’s season.
“We want to play well in this game and have the chance to win, but we know it will be difficult.
“I expect to face the best Manchester United, with the best players. As Ruben [Amorim] said, it’s a difficult moment for United but, tomorrow, they will have a super-motivated team.”
