PS4 Racer Project CARS 3 Is Being Delisted and Going Offline 1

It’s been announced that Project CARS 3 will be delisted and have its online services shut down in the near future.

Likely due to expiring licences for vehicles and tracks, the game, published by Bandai Namco and developed by Slightly Mad Studios, will soon only be playable offline by those who already own it.

Here’s the full statement on the matter, as seen on the game’s PS Store page:

Update on PROJECT CARS 3. All product sales will end on: August 24th, 2025 23:59 UTC. Please note that times may vary by region. If you bought the game digitally it will remain in your library and can be redownloaded in the future. Any DLCs purchased before August 24th, 2025 23:59 UTC will still be available to use after this date. The game’s online modes will also remain active until February 24th, 2026.

So, if you’re interested in the game, you have until 24th August to purchase Project CARS 3 and its DLC, at which point it will be delisted from digital storefronts.

Furthermore, the racing title’s online modes will be disabled from 24th February, 2026.

Those who do own the game and its add-ons will be able to download and play them after these dates, but after February of next year, only in an offline state.

We suppose the silver lining is the game is playable offline; it won’t be completely inoperable, as the case has been for online-only titles.

Project CARS 3 isn’t the best-regarded racing title, but it’s the only game in Slightly Mad’s series that’s still up for purchase. The previous two games were similarly delisted and shut down in 2022.
