A Burger King branch on the outskirts of Bristol is giving away 1,000 free burgers to celebrate its reopening. The burger chain will be opening back up at The Venue, Cribbs Causeway, following a major refurbishment of its restaurant.

And to celebrate, customers who make it in time will be able to get their hands on a free Whopper or Chicken Royale on Monday, July 28.

The newly remodelled Bristol restaurant will offer table service and a menu that ‘caters to all customers,’ including a breakfast butty and coffee deal for £2.99 and a family feast on delivery. Burger King is also extending its hours at the restaurant, opening from 8am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday 8am until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

William, who manages the branch, said: “The team and I are excited to be back and serving our customers in Bristol. We can’t wait to see familiar faces and new enjoying everything that the remodelled restaurant has to offer, and we know they’ll have the best time whilst enjoying their delicious meals here.”

Burger King is giving away 1,000 free Whoppers or Chicken Royals for one day only, on July 28. It is not the first fast food giveaway in Bristol this year – when chicken chain Popeyes opened in April, fans even queued overnight to be first in line for a freebie.

However, the incentive was a year’s worth of free chicken, which was given to the first four in the restaurant queue and the first four to park up in the ‘park and serve’ bays outside.

Prior to its revamp, the Cribbs Burger King branch had mixed reviews online, with a score of 3.7 out of 5 on Google from more than 1,600 diners. One recent visitor said it was “good too see the building getting an updated look”.

On TripAdvisor its score is lower, averaging just 2 out of 50 reviews. The branch has a five-star food hygiene rating, based on an inspection in July 2024.
