A MAN has been seriously injured after a shooting in Edinburgh.
Cops were called to reports of gunshots in Hailesland Gardens in the capital’s Wester Hailes.

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured after the incident.
He was raced to hospital where medics say his injuries are not life threatening.
Gun cops have also been called to the scene as officer carrying rifles and wearing body armour and helmets were pictured patrolling the streets.
Uniformed cops were seen taping off a path through a park near the scene.
Police say an extensive probe is currently underway.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.40pm on Thursday, 24 July, 2025, we were called to a report of a firearm being discharged in the Hailesland Gardens area of Edinburgh.
“A 23-year-old man has attended hospital for treatment to serious but not life-threatening injuries.
“Officers, including specialist firearms officers, are in attendance and extensive enquiries are ongoing.”
