After weeks of silence regarding a June media report from ARD linking a longtime team staffer to the doctor at the heart of a notorious doping ring, Ineos Grenadiers confirmed in a statement today that the International Testing Agency is investigating the matter, and also disclosed that it’s known about the alleged link for months and even investigated the matter itself.

“Following recent media allegations, David [Rozman] has now received a request from the ITA to attend an interview,” the statement read. The ITA was established by the World Anti-Doping Agency in 2018 and administers anti-doping testing and programs for more than 40 governing bodies, including the UCI.
