A man has been arrested for the suspected rape of a man in his 60s in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Bruke Desalagne, 32, was charged with rape and exual assault following the attack in Station Road, Harrow, north west London.
Someone living near the scene said: ‘Having lived in Harrow all my life, I cannot believe how dreadful it has become.
‘That poor, poor man.’
A police spokesman said: ‘Bruke Desalagne, 32, of no fixed address has been charged with rape on Wednesday, July 23.
‘He was set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday, July 24).
‘Officers were called at 12.49am on Wednesday, 23 July to reports of a sexual assault on Station Road, Harrow.
‘The victim, a man in his 60s, is being supported by specialist officers.
‘Mr Desalagne was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and charged as above.’
