Nagpur: Department of computer technology at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) conducted ‘Aarambh’, the installation and oath-taking ceremony of the Computer Technology Students’ Council (CTSC), in collaboration with the ACM Student Chapter. The event also marked the official launch of the IEEE computer society student branch, a significant step toward enhancing the department’s professional and academic outreach.The ceremony was graced by Dr Prabhat Kumar Sharma of VNIT, Dr Kavita Singh (HoD, CT), Prof Shweta Gode, and Prof Kalyani Karule. Appointment letters and badges were presented to the newly selected council members, followed by the oath-taking ceremony for both the core and semi-core teams.In his keynote address, Dr Sharma motivated students to lead with clarity, discipline, and innovation, encouraging them to embrace responsibility and pursue excellence. A key highlight of the event was the teaser release of CompuFest 2k25, the department’s highly anticipated annual technical festival, which generated enthusiasm among the audience. Principal Dr UP Waghe guided in making the event a success.
