Seven people have been taken to hospital after a pile-up on a Bristol ring road today, Friday, July 25.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a five-vehicle crash on the A4174 Colliters Way around 11.15am.
Seven people were taken to hospital for treatment of the injuries suffered during the crash.
It is not thought that anyone suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
The A4174 was closed as emergency services were at the scene, Avon and Somerset Police has confirmed that the road has since reopened.
At the time of the crash, a witness told BristolLive an air ambulance landed at the scene.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam footage, to get in contact.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We received a call in relation to a multi-vehicle collision on the A4174 Colliters Way, in Hengrove, at around 11.15am.
“Officers attended the scene of the collision, which involved five vehicles, and the road was closed while initial investigations were carried out.

“Seven people suffered injuries which are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening and have been taken to hospital. The road has since reopened.
