Manchester United’s major signings this summer have stolen the show at the club, but Diego Leon is going under the radar.
Ineos’ first year in charge of the football operations at Manchester United have seen several top prospects signed.
The likes of Chido Obi, Sekou Kone and Ayden Heaven are all shining examples of this recruitment plan, with the trio all established in the first team, costing less than £4m combined.
Jason Wilcox has continued the trend this summer, in between signing the two superstar attackers Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, with Diego Leon announced by United earlier this month.
The Paraguayan teenager has been making huge strides for the club, with Leon catching the eye during early training sessions at Carrington.
Leon also impressed during his start vs Leeds, looking like he has taken to English football like a duck to water.

Leon earned himself the number 30 shirt during pre-season, which gave us an idea that he has been catching the eye of staff.
While another clue was that United are expected to send Harry Amass on loan, clearly happy with Leon’s strengths as a first team option.
Well, now over in the USA for tour 2025 and MUTV pundit Liam Bradford has discussed Leon and how he is settling in at the club, revealing what his teammates are saying about him.
“Having spoken to a couple of the players, they really like his attitude and the way he conducts himself around the training ground.”
This could be seen already in training clips with several teammates taking a shine to Leon, as he has been seen with the South American players often along with Altay Bayindir.
As a young player coming into a senior squad, it is always important to make a good impression in training and clearly Leon is winning over his teammates, which bodes well for his chances this coming campaign.

Leon has been compared with Brazil legend Marcelo, for his all out attacking style from wing-back, and already this has been noticed as he showed some solid but raw signs during his debut.
Before even being announced by United, Leon had lofty ambitions that he would arrive and become a first team player for Amorim, which appears to be coming true.
Leon already looks at home with the first team and certainly hasn’t looked out of place at all in the opening weeks, which makes it tough to see why he would be sent into the academy ranks.
Patrick Dorgu needs back-up and that role could be perfect for Leon, especially if he continues to shine over in the States.
Leon will likely still play the odd game at U21 level, but expect him to be a bona fide first teamer for United.
