Work continues on Birmingham Camp Hill Line railway project

VolkerFitzpatrick is the principal contractor for the three new stations.

It has cleared all three sites for construction, and in May two lift shafts were installed at each of the stations.

They arrived in sections and were assembled using a crane.

The Kings Heath Station, which had its lift shafts installed first, has also had paving and surfacing work carried out and canopies have been erected over the platforms.

Last month it had a footbridge installed.

The operation took place overnight on 21 and 22 June, during which the pre-fabricated footbridge was carefully lifted into place.
