Coronation Street viewers notice ‘mistake’ in Webster storyline

Coronation Street fans noticed a “mistake” after Kevin Webster’s web of lies started to unfold on the ITV soap. Drama continued on the cobbles in the most recent episode as Kevin was spotted running after a stolen car. The Weatherfield mechanic has been at the centre of the drama since he was diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier this year.

His family and friends have remained by his side over the last few months, particularly his wife Abi. However, her head started to turn when Kevin’s brother Carl arrived on the street.

Kevin was quick to notice their undeniable connection and decided to make up a huge lie with the hopes of stopping Abi from leaving him for Carl.

Last month, Kevin was given the all clear by doctors, but he made the decision to keep the positive news to himself. He thought if Abi knew he was still suffering, she would be more likely to stick around.

Meanwhile, Carl has been getting up to some funny business of his own at the garage. Viewers recently found out that the mechanic is in a lot of debt and was using the cars at the garage as a way to pay off his debt.

During Friday’s episode of the ITV soap, Kevin spotted Carl talking to a mysterious woman in the ginnel. Later in the episode, Kevin saw the woman steal a car from his garage, after the door was left open.

When Kevin saw the woman speeding away in the car he attempted to run after her but became out of breath and had to stop. A passing Glenda insisted on taking him to the hospital to have him checked over.

Carl arrived at the hospital to check on Kevin, who was furious and immediately confronted his brother about the pre-planned car robbery.

However, Carl was shocked when the nurses told him that Kevin had finished his chemotherapy treatment a month ago, despite the fact he has supposedly been attending his appointments over the last few weeks.

Taking to social media during the episode, one fan questioned a key “mistake” in the storyline: “Why would the nurse tell Carl that Kevin has finished his chemo? That’s patient confidentiality broken #Corrie.” Another agreed: “Patient confidentiality: that nurse has no right to let slip about Kev finishing chemo.”
