Leeds United are finally closing in on their new goalkeeper at Elland Road.
Illan Meslier was the last major transfer in that area, with Karl Darlow taking his spot towards the end of the Championship-winning season after several errors.
Lucas Perri has been a target for what feels like weeks now in West Yorkshire, and the Brazilian is ready to leave Lyon behind for the Premier League.
Daniel Farke is currently in Germany with his squad, and Perri has touched down.

Perri has now officially passed his medical with the Whites.
According to L’Equipe, the transfer is now finalised and Lyon will receive the full total of £13.9million for their South American stopper.
It is said that the goalkeeper will sign a four-year contract with Leeds, and that an announcement from the two clubs is a matter of hours away.

With Perri flying straight to Paderborn with his representatives to seal the transfer, he should get straight into action alongside the likes of Anton Stach.
Leeds have once again used Germany as their training base for pre-season, and it worked wonders last season; hopefully, it can do the same for the Premier League.
Perri is already outperforming some of the bigger names that he will come up against, too.
Take Andre Onana of fierce rivals Manchester United.
The Brazilian has a higher save percentage and is better aerially, with interceptions and his long balls, at just a snip of the price spent at Old Trafford.

With the medical finalised and another behind-closed-doors friendly taking place on Saturday (26 July), Leeds will likely announce it later on in the evening.
Perri will likely be watching his new teammates in their final test of Germany, before they return to England for games against Villarreal and AC Milan, which he will no doubt start.
Then it’s onto the Premier League and Everton.
