Sheffield Wednesday are unable to make a lot of signings this summer, but the Owls can still complete certain deals.
The Owls were handed a transfer embargo earlier this summer, which lasts for three windows.
It means Sheffield Wednesday can only secure free transfers or no-fee loans.
There is a further problem with that approach, however, as the club have a wage cap, which is thought to be around £7,000-a-week.
Despite all the limitations, though, Sheffield Wednesday’s recruitment team are still working behind the scenes.

After Middlesbrough signed Alfie Jones on Friday, Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City are the only teams in the Championship yet to make a signing this summer.
The Foxes have financial problems of their own and are facing a possible points deduction, while Danny Rohl’s side’s problems when it comes to bringing in players are well documented.
Now, journalist Alex Miller, as per The Star, has shared an insight into what the Yorkshire outfit’s recruitment team have been doing this summer amid the transfer embargo.
He said: “Wednesday can still sign players on a free or no-fee loans. We gather that their recruitment team have been working throughout the summer on drawing up lists of targets. And you’d hope that conversations are ongoing for as and when Wednesday are in a position to strengthen the squad.
“But as far as our understanding is, we’re not expecting anything to drop anytime soon. So you are looking at the opening weeks of the season with a lot of young players involved… Albeit possibly on the bench to begin with.”
Who are Sheffield Wednesday looking to sign
In a bid to add some fresh faces to the club, Wednesday have been taking players on trial.
Sheffield Wednesday had taken Mohamed Konate on trial earlier this month and he has featured in friendlies for the Owls.
A key problem with Konate signing permanently was discussed earlier this week, and it remains to be seen if he will become a long-term feature.
Alexander Asaba and an unknown goalkeeper have lined out for Wednesday recently as well.
