The future of Greg Taylor at Celtic rumbles on.
It recently seemed like it was clear that Taylor will leave Celtic and head for the exit door on a free transfer in the summer.
And, in the other direction, Kieran Tierney would return to Celtic on the very same Bosman ruling when his Arsenal contract comes to an end.
But it seems as though Celtic’s recent defeat to St Johnstone has opened a door that some thought might have been closed.
Brendan Rodgers wasn’t a happy man with that performance in Perth, and it resulted in several players being dropped for the clash against Kilmarnock over the weekend.
That included Taylor returning to the XI, and it so happened that he put in a Man of the Match display and then the obvious starts to get talked about.

At the age of 27, Taylor could still play at a very high level because he is at the peak of his powers.
But where would he go if he were to leave Celtic? Well, Hugh Keevins feels that it ‘won’t be’ to another team in the Champions League, as he told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
Keevins put aside the financial aspect of it and thinks that the Scotland international will only drop a level by leaving the champions-elect.
“I think I am right in saying that wherever he goes, I don’t think, and I am not concerning myself with money here,” said Keevins. “Because he would be well looked after by Celtic and well looked after wherever he goes.
“But, wherever he goes, it won’t be Champions League football.”
Celtic told to keep Taylor because he makes them ‘better’
If Taylor stayed, then Rodgers would be able to sleep better at night because that means his left-back spot is sorted for next season.
But, as of this moment, Tierney, who has had his injury issues over the years, is the only man competing for that spot.
Despite Keevins suggesting that Taylor wouldn’t get another Champions League club, he thinks that he would still make Celtic ‘better’ if he stays put.
“No, (it doesn’t look like Rodgers has given up on Taylor), he said that he never gives up on players until the very, very end,” stated Keevins.
“You would like to think that if Brendan Rodgers knew that Greg Taylor had told the club that he was definitely moving on, then Brendan Rodgers might as well put it in the public domain now.
“But that may not be the case. If it isn’t the case, whatever effort Celtic have made to keep Greg Taylor, I think they should increase those efforts, because if you are talking about wanting to make Celtic better season by season. Greg Taylor makes you better, so fight for him.”
