Tresspassers have blocked a major train line in the West Midlands, causing disruption for passengers.

The trespass incident took place at Kidderminster train station in Worcestershire this afternoon, July 26.

West Midlands Railway said on X: “Trespassers at Kidderminster.

“Some lines are blocked so services may be delayed, altered or cancelled.”

The operator said there were major problems on the line heading out of Birmingham Snow Hill, affecting services between Kidderminster and Droitwich Spa.

The services affected included the 6.52pm Kidderminster to Stratford-Upon-Avon service, which was due to arrive at 8.34pm.

The 8.43pm Stratford to Birmingham Snow Hill service was due at 9.42pm.

Rail replacement buses were operating on the line between Stourbridge and Worcester.

A spokesperson added: “Due to trespassers on the railway between Kidderminster and Droitwich Spa some lines are blocked.

“Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.

“Disruption is expected to last until around 5.30pm today.

“We expect some of our trains to be affected by this incident.
