Police have asked members of the public to call 999 if they see a man who has gone missing. Stephen – whose surname has not been disclosed – could be in Bristol.

Officers are asking members of the public not to approach the 58-year-old. He was last seen in Swindon at around 8pm on Wednesday.

He also has links to Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire.

An appeal for information by Avon & Somerset Police issued on Saturday (July 26) said: “We are hoping the public will help us find missing Stephen.

“The 58-year-old was last seen at about 8pm in the Swindon area on Wednesday 23 July.

“However we believe he was in the Broadmead area of Bristol the following day.

“Stephen has links to Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire.”

Stephen is described as male, white with blond or brown hair.

He was wearing a light-coloured jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes and a tweed flat cap when last seen.

The appeal added: “If you see Stephen, please don’t approach him, call 999 quoting reference 5225210240, or call 101 with other details.”
