Chris Davies has confirmed Phil Neumann and Paik Seung-ho have joined Jay Stansfield in Birmingham City’s treatment room.
German defender Neumann and South Korean playmaker Paik missed Blues’ 2-0 victory over Port Vale in their penultimate pre-season match.
Keshi Anderson and Willum Willumsson netted the goals for Blues at Vale Park.
Stansfield, meanwhile, has missed Blues’ last two pre-season games due to injury and is now in a race against time to be fit for the Championship curtain-raiser against Ipswich Town.
Addressing the absences of Neumann, Paik and Stansfield, Davies said: “They’re all not long-term. I’m hoping they will be training within a week or two maximum. They are just things you pick up in pre-season.
“We have had a few niggles in this last week which is to be expected but none of them are long-term.”
Debutant Eiran Cashin had to be withdrawn after 55 minutes due to a ‘stomach issue’ according to Davies but it didn’t disrupt Blues’ flow.
Davies added: “We had to monitor different players and give them different minutes. Overall, I’m really happy with the work we did – clean sheet, two goals.
“This team [Port Vale] will be absolutely alright in League One, no doubt about it. They work hard and at home I’m sure they will be a force in League One.
“We had five new players in the first half and you can see the boys that have been with me for a year because they are a bit quicker in the movements and know all the patterns of play, whereas the new lads are a little bit slower with that and that’s normal.
“I was pleased with it. It looked mostly how I wanted it to look, the energy and appetite was there, and players are getting fitter which is the most important thing.”
