The incident occurred on Knowles Lane in Holme Wood on Thursday at around 8pm.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving whilst disqualified.
He remains in police custody at this time, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police told the Telegraph & Argus this morning.
Officers initially sighted the vehicle on Knowles Avenue.
Images on social media show a white Mercedes Sprinter pick-up van, which had come to rest on broken wooden panel fencing.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
“He remains in police custody at this time.”
