Police made a huge find after stopping and searching a ‘suspicious’ man in Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday night (July 26).
Officers were on patrol in the city centre as part of GMP’s Operation Custodian when they identified a man in the gardens.
The force said he was ‘behaving suspiciously’. After he was approached, he was then searched which later revealed a number of small snap bags and a quantity of cocaine.

“Drug dealing not only fuels addiction but also contributes to other forms of crime and anti-social behaviour in public spaces.
“The suspect is currently in custody awaiting further questioning, and investigations are ongoing. This arrest serves as a clear message that such criminal activity will not be tolerated in Manchester.”
