Those travelling along the M4 this week have been warned of planned closures as maintenance work takes place along major routes. Drivers that will be affected will be those travelling along the road to Cardiff, Groes, and Lon Las.
Some of the diversions will see a full road closure whilst one lane will be closed for almost a month that may cause delays from Coryton to Cardiff. Essential work including resurfacing, construction and carriageway maintenance will take place over the course of next week – Monday, July 28 to Sunday, August 3.
The following road closures will be in place on the M4
Resurfacing work will be carried on M4 eastbound from junction 30 Cardiff Gate to junction 32 Coryton.
The road will be closed with diversions in place from Wednesday, July 23 to Thursday, August 21. The work will take place from 8pm to 6am.
In both directions on from junction 37 Pyle to junction 39 Groes the road will be closed as construction work occurs.
The road will be closed from Thursday, July 24 to Tuesday, July 29 between 8pm and 6am.
Carriage maintenance will be carried out closing the road eastbound from junction 45 Ynysforgan to junction 44 Lon Las.
Diversions will be in place whilst the work takes place from Friday, July 25 to Tuesday, July 29 between 8pm and 6am.
Roadworks will take place on the M4 eastbound from junction 32 Coryton to junction 30 Cardiff Gate closing one lane.
The maintenance work will be carried out from Thursday, July 24 to Wednesday, July 20 will delays possible in the area.
