GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — Community members impacted by the mass stabbing at the Walmart in Traverse City are being offered free counseling services.

County leaders announced the community mental health resources during a press conference Sunday.

The free counseling services will be offered at Northwestern Michigan College Innovation Center, which is next to the Cedar parking lot on campus.

Counselors will be at NMC Monday – Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Counseling may be extended if needed.

Other services available include a Crisis Hot Line: 1-833-295-0616.

There is also 24-hour counseling available at the Grand Traverse Mental Health Crisis and Access Center, 410 Brook Street.
