A man has been arrested after armed police were called to a residential street in Glasgow.
Officers were called to Nelson Street in Baillieston after the alarm was raised at around 12.40pm on Monday.
Police were responding to reports of a “disturbance” within a property on the street. Pictures taken from the scene showed a number of police vehicles in attendance.
Armed police were called in and a 34-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
The nature of the disturbance is so far unclear but no one was injured as a result.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm on Monday, July 28, 2025 police received a report of a disturbance within a property in Nelson Street, Baillieston, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance. No-one was injured.
“The 34-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
