Patients have given their thoughts on practices across the UK in the annual GP Patient Survey, which is conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England.

The survey is sent out to over two million people across the UK, and the results show how people feel about their GP practice.

Here, we reveal the ‘overall experience’ ratings given to practices across Taunton.

In terms of communication over the phone, the North Curry Health Centre ranked the best in 2025, with a 96.69% positive experience. On the other end of the scale, Wellington Medical Centre has 57.04% of patients who have had a negative experience on the phone, according to the survey.

Less than 50% of Taunton patients reported that they were able to see their preferred GP often.

Patients in Taunton strongly believe that the receptionist at their GP surgery is helpful, with a 91.49% average satisfaction rating given to all the surgeries.

In 2024, approximately 73.9% of patients in England described their overall experience of their GP practice as “good,” which is in line with the national average, according to NHS England.

So the lowest ranking surgeries on this list are either in line with or above the average score from last year.
